Terenure Cricket Club 1st XI squad

1st XI

Captain : Michael Cotter

LHB, WK

Major Teams: Terenure CC, DIT CC, Irish Universities

Keeper/batsman who likes to get on with the game. Loves driving the ball, a sword he will both live and die by. Captained the 2nd team in 2015 and in the process picked up the best bowling figures in Division 5 history. Extremely grateful to his 1st XI bowlers for finding the edge plenty of times in 2015 and will hope that trend continues into 2016. Winner of the Ralph Satchwell Cup 2015.
Players
Brandon Graber

RAMF, RHB

Brandon joins Terenure as a coach for the 2018 season. Hailing from South Africa the bowling all-rounder has decided to make use of his British Passport by playing in Ireland for the coming season to develop his cricket. Brandon has experience playing in the illustrious South African schools cricket competition playing for his school's 1stXI. Brandon, at 19, will be another young player looking to add to the side's dynamism and athleticism in the field, playing the game in an exciting manner.

Liam Harris

RHB, RAM

Major Honours; Western Province Country Discticts U19 (Captain), University of the Western Cape 1st XI, 2nd XI (Captain, Tygerberg Cricket Club 1st XI (Captain), Cape Schools Week, National University Week (4 times)

Liam has joined the 1st team squad from the 2018 season. He comes with a wealth of experience from the South African club scene, former team-mates include Vernon Philander. A genuine top order batsman and nippy accurate medium-pacer, Liam will be a strong addition to the side with both bat and ball for the coming season.

Diarmuid Lynch
RHB, RAVF

Hailing from the Tralee Caves of Co. Kerry Diarmuid emigrated to Dublin at a young age. Bowler of a 'heavy ball' and a cat-like fielder he is the eldest of the Lynch clan and obviously therefore, the best.
Donal Lynch

RHB, OB

Donie has been a prolific runs scorer for the past 3 seasons in Terenure CC, scoring two hundreds and countless fifties in that time, his most notable innings was the very first hundred to be scored in an U15s final in Leinster in 2011 against North County. Developing as a burgling off-spin bowler who often capitalises on good work of team-mates up front to clean up the tail end.

Seamus Lynch

Quality all-rounder and another member of the famous Lynch clan. Seamus has progressed nicely through the years and has represented Leinster at every age group he has been eligible for to date. A batsman with all the time in the world, and a bowler who bowls fearful leg spin with a trademarked full toss variation that often catches the batsman off guard, Seamus clearly inherited his talent from Dan

Kenny McDonald
LHB, LAB.
Other Teams: Leinster CC, MCC(Probationary member), Southern Irish Schools, Leinster U17, South Ireland U17.
Hobies: Long walks in the park. Rubbing JH's Belly for luck!!
Favourite Film: The Notebook

Favourite Sportsman: Phil Taylor (What an Athlete!)
Colm Morgan
RHB, WK, LB

Major Teams: CYM CC, Dublin University CC, Terenure CC.

"Roxy" captained the 2nds to promotion in 2013 and adds a wealth of experience to an otherwise young team, with over 6,000 senior runs to his name as well as the Senior wicket-keeping cup in 1993.Scores his runs in a manner that is very pleasing on the eye.
Mark Thomas
LAFM, LHB

Mark arrived in Terenure in 2012 and made fleeting appearances for the 1st team that season between injuries. Work ensured he played no cricket in 2013, however he returned to play a full season in 2014. Unfortunately work again ensured Mark was not available for most of 2015, however he is back and ready to torment teams once again in 2016 with his aggressive pace bowling
