Terenure Cricket Club 3rd XI squad

3rd XI 3rd XI

Captain : Brian Dalton

Vice Captain : John Murray

A genuine all-rounder, who has graced the hallowed turf of Terenure since the late 90’s. Possessing what is commonly known as “the gift”, Big John has been known to rip through clubs top orders. Once hit Bill Whaley back over his head for four and has represented Ireland at the Taverners Cricket World Cup in Sweden.

Sathish Ayyappath

Experienced all-rounder from Kerala in Southern India, Sathish has passed his vast knowledge to many on the team.  Enjoys the odd Tenants and has more run outs to his name then Inzamam Ul-Haq

Sol Bell-Megaw

Born in the highlands of Scotland. Sol is the complete all rounder. He gurantees one Jaffa per spell with his unorthodox leg spin technique while with the bat he has an extraordinary strike rate. He is looking forward to opening the batting and occasionally bowling some good areas during the upcoming season

Colin Coyle
Colin joined the club in 2015 from Sandyford and having become a member of the Furlong clan in late 2015 is unlikely to be going back anytime soon. Colin is an enthusiastic fielder, built like a tank and once he gets past 10 is always likely to get to 50. A great addition to the 3rd XI
Hamish Forsyth
Like all Kiwis, a talented all-rounder, who can bat, bowl, drink and field along with the best of them. Originally from deepest darkest New Plymouth, Hamish is a great addition to any XI both on and off the field.
Fintan Kelleher
A player of great experience, Fintan is both a calming influence on, and an extremely talented member of the current 3rd XI. A solid bat who can score quickly and a very safe pair of hands in the field. Fintan was a member of the 1st XI for many years winning the Alan Murray Cup on numerous occasions as well as on a personal level the Hopkins Cup for being best keeper in the province and numerous caps for South Leinster
Gearoid Lynch

There are a number of ways to describe Gearoid's batting, however one thing that can be said for sure is he hits the ball hard and far. Can change the run of a game within a couple of balls with his ability to hit boundaries from ball 1. Also a very dependable wicket-keeper and efficient medium pace operator.
Siddarth Nair
Son of Sathish, Sid has been a regular at the top of the order in recent years. An aggressive bat and useful spinner, just like his father, Sids cricket has progressed very nicely of late. One for the future
Colm Perry
Cucumber sandwich loving Englishman who joined the club via Clare CC, Colm is every captains dream player, being economical with the ball, bowling his Peter Such like off breaks, and solid with the bat. Colm spends his spare time supporting Stoke City (How out of character is that), watching Englands rugby team lose at Twickenham and touring the world with his twin brother Charlie Reid as part of The Proclaimers
Phillip Elvis Rout
Born and bred an Australian, but certainly cant drink like one. Phil came to Irelands shores via Melbourne in Australia and London, England and is a  solid all rounder who bowls medium quick and bats aggressively in the middle order. When on form is known to bowl at 50 plus. Keen rugby league fan. Managed by Lynne
Mark Wedick
Major Teams: CYM CC, Terenure CC.
"The Wad" lands his wobbly off-spin in perfect areas which inevitably leads to him picking up wickets, another experienced player who uses changes of pace and flight to sucker his victims in to false shots. Hits hard an effectively when he gets a chance to bat later in the innings.
